A couple of months ago there were two drivers on the Interstate who in some way irritated each other. The report did not indicate what the cause was. Usually it is because one driver cuts the other off.
They drove off the exit and the one driver got out of his car and approached the other in his vehicle. Words were exchanged and the driver turned aroud to go to his car when the other driver pulled out a gun and shot the other driver, a father of four, in the back and killed him.
In another case the one driver got angry and rammed the car he was having a dispute with and lost his life in the crash.
Brigham Young said,”He who takes offense when no offense was intended is a fool. He who takes offense when offense was intended is probably a fool. “
Had the father of four just let it alone and driven off, he would probably be alive to take care of his family. The man who fired the gun and killed the other man now faces prison.
We sing “School thy feelings O my brother”. Satan wants to stir us up to anger with our fellowmen. When we do this we may die physically or spiritually.
It is best not to take offense.
Grandpa says, it is better to keep your cool than to lie in the cool hard ground.
